Thank you for using Team Split. Your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our app.
Data Collection
Team Split uses Firebase Analytics (a service provided by Google) to help us understand how the app is used and to improve the user experience. Firebase Analytics may automatically collect information such as:
- App usage data (e.g., app opens, screen views, feature usage)
- Device information (e.g., device model, operating system, app version)
We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or contact details. Please do not include personal information in any optional feedback you send us.
In-App Purchases
Team Split offers an optional Team Split Ultimate subscription via Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit). All payment transactions are processed exclusively by Apple. We do not receive, store, or process any payment card or billing information. For details on how Apple handles purchase data, please review Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Sharing
Analytics data is processed and stored by Google as part of the Firebase service. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising purposes. For more details on how Google handles data, please review Google’s Privacy Policy.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information collected through the app. Firebase uses industry-standard security to safeguard data in transit and at rest.
Data Retention
Analytics data collected via Firebase is retained for up to 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted. Because no personal identifiers are collected, we have no way to isolate or delete the data of a specific individual before that automatic expiry.
Your Choices
Team Split uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data. There is currently no in-app option to disable analytics collection. If we add such a setting in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect that.
Your Rights (EEA, UK & Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding your personal data under applicable data protection laws (GDPR and equivalents):
- Access — request a copy of the data held about you.
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction — request that processing of your data be restricted.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Because Team Split collects only anonymous analytics data and no account or personal identifier is ever created, we are technically unable to locate or delete the data of a specific individual. All collected data expires automatically after 14 months. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of the "sale" of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. The analytics data collected via Firebase is fully anonymous — no name, email, or other identifier is attached — which means we cannot fulfill individual deletion requests, as the data cannot be attributed to a specific person. All data is automatically deleted after 14 months.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the app after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
